Opening to Queries in Fall of 2026.

A woman with light skin, blonde wavy hair, and black glasses taking a selfie. Next to her, a gray tabby cat with green eyes lying on a light-colored fabric surface, staring directly at the camera. A cream-colored curtain is visible in the background.

Hi! I’m Chelsea, and I love to love things.

I’ve spent my entire life shouting about the stories I love to my friends, family, and anyone who will listen. I still do that, but now editors are involved.

Later this year, I’ll be opening my query inbox for the first time. Below, you’ll find my MSWL. It’s long. It’s weird. It’s hyper-specific. But if it resonates with you and your work, please add me to your list.

Welcome!

MSWL

Universally, I love genre fiction and speculative fiction, but some of my absolute favorite titles are contemporary, so I usually leave that door open, too. More than anything, I’m seeking big feelings, yearning (romantic and not), interesting characters who make compelling, human decisions, pacy stories that keep me turning pages, and worlds and scenarios that set my imagination on fire.

Do not query me if you’re using generative AI to write (but no, I won’t throw your work out if I see an em-dash or oxford comma).

For more specifics, read on, but note that I am closed to queries, except by invitation, until fall of 2026
